Million Pipeline

Rejected For a Second Time

For the second time, federal regulators have rejected the Million Pipeline. A Colorado developer’s plan to divert millions of gallons of water from the Green River to the Denver area.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) … on May 17, 2012 … rejected Wyco Power and Water’s appeal of an already denied permit for a project feasibility study.

Many concerned people … led by sportsmen and environmentalists … have loudly voiced their opposition to the plan.

The Million Pipeline could potentially … and quite likely … drop the river’s levels below that which would sustain the river as a recreational paradise. To say nothing about what it would do to the ecosystem the river supports.

But Million isn’t done. He stated that the project would move forward. And he would provide a more detailed application. He states that there’s a major surplus of water in the Green. And he flatly rejected an American Rivers report that the Green was the country’s number second most endangered river.

Governor Gary Herbert … of Utah … has stated he will oppose the pipeline if it threatens Utah’s water supply. And Wyoming’s governor … Matt Mead … has already stated he was against the pipeline.
