Is it Safe to Eat Utah Black Bear

I just harvested a Utah Black Bear. Is it safe to, process the meat and eat?

I apologize for the delay in answering Mike. Been busy with other things - out of town, son's marriage, etc.

I'll admit, I'm not an expert on this. I suggest you google it using the term "Can you eat utah bear meat?" Or some version of this. You'll find a whole lot of advice on your question.
