Antelope Island Programs for July - COME PLAY!

July 3. Join us for a hike to Beacon Knob to see the fantastic firework displays of Salt Lake. Hike begins at 8:30 pm – and is 2.2 miles one way. ______________________________July 10 – Want to be a Junior Ranger?
Once at the top, we will get comfy and watch four different fireworks displays. Snacks, drinks, blankets or chairs are welcome. Please no fireworks. Meet at White Rock Bay Trailhead at 8:30 pm.
Join us for a program all about the wetlands of Utah. We will explore a wetland at the Fielding Garr Ranch, catch some wetland invertebrates, and learn why wetlands are so important to Utah.
Earn a Junior Ranger Badge for participating. Meet at Ranch parking lot – 12 pm. Open to ages 6-12. ______________________________July 23 – Bring Your Dog And Howl At The Moon!
Join our park naturalist as we hike by moonlight down the lakeside trail with our faithful friends. Hike is 2.5 miles one way. Meet at Bridger Bay trailhead 8-10 pm.______________________________July 27th – Homeschool Program – Reptiles and Amphibians.
Learn all about those mysterious scaly and slimy critters that call the Island home. Do we have rattlesnakes on the Island? Now is your chance to find out. Meet at visitor center. Program is by reservation only. Call 801-721-9569.______________________________July 31 – Naturalist Series Program – Owls
Join park naturalist for a program celebrating one of Antelope Island’s most interesting residents. We will learn all about owls, dissect an owl pellet, and receive a map to guide you as you travel the island in search of the many species found here.
Meet at visitor center 1 pm. Earn a free pass to the park by participating in in 5 naturalist skills programs!
